Alaskan Author Jim Misko's Website
Thanks
for dropping by.This
business of writing books is a lot of fun and I
wouldn’t have missed it for anything.
In the end it comes
down to a people business.
You deal with people in your books - editors who
cut and polish them, agents, publishers, cover
design artists, photographers, publicists,
printers, lawyers, book store managers and
owners, special events people, reporters,
librarians, reviewers, critics, and those
special readers who tell you how they really
feel about your work.
My goal
is to write novels that entertain you first of
all. I don’t want you
thinking they’re homework.
Then I want the experiences, the conflicts, and
the setting to educate you in some part of life
that you likely have not experienced. And last,
I want the story and characters to inspire you.
E.L.
Doctorow said, “A book written in silence and
read in silence goes from heart to heart and
soul to soul as nothing else can.”
If, when you have read the last page and
close the book, you have a smile on your face
and your soul is lifted — that will be my
thanks.
I'm looking forward to
meeting you at my next book signing in
your neighborhood. If I’m not
coming your way, we’ve made it easy for you to
get a copy of any of my books on this Website
or the Internet. Just click
on BOOKS and pick one or two that you like.
May it go well with you.
